well damn if i'm going to go through all that and pay $450 i might as well just buy Megan EZ streets and be done but I'm trying to ball on a budget and i don't really care if my ride is adjustable. i was thinking more along the lines of just a spring swap for like $200 or less

Codersozer: I'm sure you probably won't notice raising it after a couple of days.
Dreamps: you might want to try some custom NB mouts, that's about the ride height of my car and it benefited from some more travel.
Sjripples: The GC kit is really nice an being adjustable has its perks, like corner balancing how ever I think you might and I repeat might have to have your NA billys revalved to run them. You might want to look into the FM ones, the new V3s are stiffer than mine and match up well to NA billiys.

might have to have your NA billys revalved to run them... this is possibly negating the cheap and easy route haha, i'm not planning on doing any serious racing or autoX, just want the car a little less floppy

Then H&R or FM are your best bets I would say. No matter what route you take post pictures and let us know how you like/hate them lol

No. Nb shocks are just taller.

As he stated above, they are not only longer which is counter productive on an NA, the threaded part of the shaft is also longer on an NB shock which is where the custom part comes into play. You need to make custom bushings which separate the shock shaft from the metal top hat to absorb shock noice and vibrations. They have to be very short to be able to give you enough threads to run them on NA shocks. Here is a good DIY: forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?%20t=253331&highlight=DIY+NB+Hope this helps!
