Picture intensive! started off in a VW, loved euro cars but always wanted a Miata, gf was gonna buy an NC, then opted with the Mazda 3 for practicallity cause we do alot of travelling lol! practicallity went out the window as sooon as she got into cars.... When the time arose and i found a miata i liked i pounced on it! pic of my old VW and of the GFs MZ3 So youve never been to Canada eh!? this is our fun Decembers. didnt do a whole lot to it that year, had to get it running due to the shortnose crank problem oh so common on these cars! did a couple of mad skids! Added one of THESE! had fun doing this! then it came down to crunch time, stock miata didnt drift to welll, so i modded up some knuckles and achieved this had a spare engine so I freshend it up while it was stil out, slapped in a cometic MLS headgasket, ARP headstuds, all new seals, and a stage 2 excedy clutch and pressure plate, then a t25 sr20 s14 ball bearing turbo with stock wastegate. also then got rid of my torsen diff, and welded the spare open diff i had, put solid diff mount bushings in, new racing beat rear swaybar, poly bushings in the rear end and put in redline shockproof! added flares so i could achieve wider front track and did an aligment at work 0* camber in the rear for optimal tire wear and less spins! -4* front camber, 6* caster, -.1* toe out, rear got 0 camber and 0 toe. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152208377780288&l=9023973617528967105

I like how you did the fog.lights in the brake ducts. That looks really good. I've never thought of doing that before.

Thanks man, ya I was really bored one day so I made up some brackets and mounted some lights, tuned out better than expected! But both light are smashed now and removed cause of nosing into tire piles at events hahahah!

In your thread it sounds like you modified your own steering knuckles? Any info on this or how you jigged/knew what to do?
Without research and development/trials I know I'd cause more problems than find solutions.

I sure did! Made up a jig using an s13 one I had already then modded it drastically to work with a miata knuckle did some calculation for Ackerman and what not, very stressful got 50* out of them though!

I would love to do it myself, that's some great angle!
Sounds like the calculations could be over my head though. I'd need more like "here's the directions to make the jig" then I'd just cut shit up.

If you're up to writing up some form of DIY, or maybe just pictures of the jig, knuckle, and a little insight on how to make the calculations I would certainly appreciate it.
Not that I'd still have the ability, but it'd be a great resource for myself and others who might want to tackle it.

Awesome! I'd love to see the calculations if just to learn what you were thinking behind the design and what made them work.
Thanks buddy, and awesome car. I want that wing so badly, and I'm not a wing guy.
