Talk about driving for the good portion of 11 hours on what had to of been the hottest day of the year lol. I heard it reached like 94 at some point during the day. Good times, good food, and I must say probably the best roads yet! Wish more people would have come but we managed. There's always next time.

How is the pace of the cruise? I'm all stock and on cheap tires. I can handle spirited but don't think fast is an option, lol.

Stock suspension will work just fine but cheap tires won't work. Not unless you want to end up in a guard rail.

I'm on stock suspension with Falken Ziex ZE-512s (360 treadwear). You shouldn't need to overdrive your tires/suspension to keep up with someone on a cruise, especially if you see the kind of drops on that road.
Being slammed might hurt without BP engine lift plates though, especially 200+ miles from home with no cell reception.

Very true but you also have to remember you're probably a better driver than a lot of the guys around here. I just don't want to see someone unprepared and try to keep up and end up slamming his car or wrecking it. Good tires will make up for a lot of mistakes. I wish I wasn't slammed lol. I'm sure my sway bar has a few new nicks. |

It's still fairly new to me so I'm hoping this winter will bring more maintenance and upgrades. It had monstrous 17s on it so they had to go and I got a solid Craigslist deal.
I'll never say I'm a great driver but I do pretty well for the most part. I have found that the Miata does offer a fair amount of warning when you're reaching limits before it jumps over the edge.
